VISION STATEMENT

The Redemptorists in Kenya Mission commit themselves to the proclamation of the Good News of the Most Holy Redeemer for the salvation of every person.

MISSION STATEMENT

Following the charism of St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, our Founder, we, the Redemptorists in Kenya, in collaboration with the confreres of Conference of Africa-Madagascar and in partnership with the laity, preach the goodness of Jesus Christ to the most abandoned, especially the poor, by parish ministry, conducting retreats and seminars for various groups of faithful and heal the ‘wounds’ of the abandoned..

Pastorally neglected
1.Families in distress
2.Victims of superstitions, fear and witchcraft
3.Internally displaced: migrants, victims of human trafficking, and refugees
4.Young people: victims of abuses and substance abuse, poor educational opportunities

APOSTOLIC PRIORITIES (WHAT)

1.Faith formation programs in parishes and institutions
2.Explicit proclamation of the word of God with sound teachings of the church through retreats and parish missions.
3.Family apostolate
4.Empowering the laity by establishing Parish Council, Finance Council and other bodies
5.Promoting developmental projects such as water projects, sanitation, caring for the elderly who are abandoned
6.Dealing with issues of migrants and refugees in collaboration with other Congregations and local church.
7.Protection of children and vulnerable adults
8.Developing youth ministries by forming youth groups, conducting seminars and get-togethers.
